2026 KF Global Arts (Immersive Exhibition) Program Outline | |

The Korea Foundation hosts exhibitions at the KF XR Gallery, a digital public diplomacy experience exhibition space, to enable Korean people to communicate and interact more actively with the world through immersive content based on new digital technology. | |

Eligible Applicants | |
|
Foreign embassies and cultural institutes in Korea, local and international non-profit organizations, and non-profit digital cultural and artistic content institutions and organizations ※ Individuals are not eligible to apply. | |
|
Eligible Areas | |
|
Immersive content such as VR, AR, MR, XR and Interactive media art on the subject of universal human values or the art and culture of different countries. (including digital contents that can be linked to online exhibitions such as in the metaverse) * Dubbing or subtitles, if provided, must be in both English and Korean. Relevant costs must be covered by the applicant institution. | |

Details of Support | |
|
The KF may offer certain project-related assistance to exhibitions with content deemed to be outstanding through an evaluation process. In such cases, the KF will serve as the host and accepted applicants as participators, thereby allowing multiple pieces of content from multiple applicant organizations to be displayed concurrently in one exhibition. Assistance may be in the following forms: 1. KF XR Gallery space 2. Production costs of PR materials 3. A portion of the expenses for installation/deinstallation in the exhibition hall (Installation and testing of software or artworks, etc. must be done by the applicant organization. Other related installation costs, such as spatial design, will be reviewed according to the needs and availability of the KF.) 4. Management and operational costs of the exhibition venue 5. A portion of the production costs for related program content (workshop, programs for visitor participation, etc. (to be reviewed according to KF's needs) All other costs should be covered by applicants. The KF does not offer any direct financial assistance to applicants. ※ KF XR Gallery (110㎡) Retention Equipment Specifications 1. Media Wall (W 5,500 * H 3,000, pixel pitch 2.6 mm, resolution 2,112 * 1,152, 800 CD/㎡, with Kinetic Camera) 2. VR-related Equipment (wireless connection of two Oculus Quest 3-Monitor-Gaming laptops to the gallery) 1) Oculus Quest 3 (4s) 2) 65-inch Smart Monitor (2 units) 3) Gaming laptops (2 units) KF XR Gallery Floor Plan (Approximately 110㎡ / 1st floor, CENTER1 Building, 26 Eulji-ro 5-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul)

Program Period | |
|
During 2026, hosted exhibitions must run for a minimum of 3 months and can run for up to a maximum of 6 months. Exhibition duration depends on the proposed period and the KF XR Gallery’s availability. This period may be adjusted through mutual agreement. The exhibition period always includes installation and deinstallation days. The KF XR Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and is closed on Sundays and national holidays. | |

1. Online Application 2. Supplementary Materials (to be uploaded with the online application) 1) Detailed introduction of content (including installation and operation guidelines) 2) Introduction of participants (including curricula vitae of key participants such as artists, directors, and curators) 3) Exhibition design/installation plan detailing the desired installation spot within the KF XR gallery (The location of all works will be finalized according to the KF’s screening system.) Evaluation Criteria | |
|
1. Quality of proposed projects and exhibition plan as well as expected outcomes in terms of advancing cultural exchange / understanding 2. Extent of contribution to help Koreans better understand / appreciate world cultures 3. Qualification and proven credibility of applicant organization (Careful consideration will be placed on the previous activities of applicant organizations and project participants, and an assessment of any past projects that received support from the KF.) 4. Suitability to the objectives and priorities of the KF’s programs (fostering friendship between Korea and the world; major diplomatic occasions such as commemorating the establishment of diplomatic ties; promoting universal values of humankind; addressing global issues such as climate change and environmental protection; etc.) 5. Availability of exhibition-related on-site or online/digital/XR content or programs and possibility for touring exhibitions to other Korean cities/regions, etc. | |
